Hard days
Tough weeks
Long nights
No sleep
Heavy heart
Heavy mind

Everything seems like a chore
Something as simple as getting out of bed feels hard
Reading my Bible has never been so tough
Praying has never caused so many tears
Talking to God is more shouting and screaming than talking
Heavy heart
Heavy mind

But somehow I still find peace
I know that my Father only has my good in mind 

I know that He only has the best for me, even when I don’t see it or want to see it
I know He has a plan in this dark and seemingly hopeless season
I know He has something good up His sleeve
He will never leave
He will never give me more than I can handle

Yes, He will drive me to my knees
But it’s so I can truly see Him and truly be honest
Yes, He will bring the waves
But He can also calm them
He sometimes brings the storm
But it’s for my good
Sometimes, He brings the valleys
But it’s to bring Him glory
Sometimes, He lets the hard seasons come
But it’s for my growth
Sometimes, He lets it hurt
Not to hurt me, but to teach me to bring it to Him
Sometimes, He lets things happen
So I can learn to trust and lean on Him
Sometimes, God lets hard and heavy things come our way
But they aren’t to burden us or make us stumble
They are to teach us and help us grow

In the end, He only has our good in mind
In the end, He is a loving and caring Father
Who only has good in store for us
But sometimes, He lets the waves crash
Sometimes, He lets the heartbreak happen
Sometimes, He lets the pain drive us to our knees
But it is all for His glory and to help us grow

A flower can’t grow without rain
A flower has to survive wind and sun,
Heat and freezing cold
But ultimately, they are helping it grow
A flower goes through seasons of hard
And seasons of good
But in the end,
The flower comes out stronger and prettier than before
That is His goal for us

He doesn’t let the storm break us
He doesn’t let the waves take us
As long as we hold on to Him
As long as we turn our eyes to Him
As long as we allow Him to correct and comfort us

So when a hard season comes your way,
See it as an opportunity to grow in Him
See it as an opportunity to draw closer to the heart of your Father
Because He loves us
We need to go through good times and hard times,
Seasons and different kinds of storms

But the question is—
Will you let it push you further away from God?
Or will you see it as an opportunity to lean on Him more?
Will you let the hard times break you?

Or will you see it as an opportunity to grow?
In all seasons,
In the great and not-so-great times—
Lean back into our Heavenly Father
Draw closer to the Heart of the Father
For He only has your growth and your best in store
